김희겸 경기도행정2부지사, “경기북부 5대 도로는 북부발전 초석”

김희겸 경기도 행정2부지사는 7일 동두천시 상패~청산 구간, 양주시 장흥~광적 구간 등 북부 5대 도로사업 현장 7곳을 방문했다.

이번 현장방문은 지난 1월 열린 ‘북부 5대 도로사업 비전 선포식’ 후속 조치로, 사업 추진 현황과 애로사항을 청취하고 관계자들을 격려하기 위해 마련됐다.

이날 김 부지사는 “북부 5대 도로 사업은 도민 삶의 질을 향상시키는 투자이자 통일시대를 이끌어갈 북부지역 발전의 초석.”이라며 “선택과 집중 원칙에 따라 효율적인 사업 추진을 위해 힘써 달라.”고 당부했다.

이날 방문한 북부 5대 도로사업 7개 현장은 ▲ 북부지역 남북축 주요 중심축인 국도대체우회도로 3호선 동두천 상패~청산(L=9.85km), ▲ 산업단지 등 물류이동 중심축인 국가지원지방도 39호선 양주 장흥~광적(L=11.4km), 가납~상수(L=5.7km), ▲ 지방도371호선 파주 설마~구읍(L=8.03km), 연천 적성~두일(L=6.34km), ▲ 동서축 교통량분산축인 국가지원지방도 98호선 남양주 오남~수동(L=8.4km), ▲ 지방도364호선 동두천‧포천 광암~마산(L=11.32km) 구간 등이다.

도는 2018년까지 4개 사업 31.3km 구간을 준공하고 2022년에는 모든 사업을 완료할 계획이다. 이를 위해 올해에는 530억 원을 투자하고 오는 2019년까지 모두 4,148억 원을 투자하기로 했다.

김 부지사는 이날 점검을 마친 후 “북부 5대도로사업은 경기연정 실천사업으로 선정되어 집중 추진되는 만큼 사업 추진 여건이 매우 양호하다.”며, “앞으로도 소통 행정을 토대로 북부지역 도민과 기업이 만족할 수 있는 사업을 추진해달라.”고 말했다.

한편, 남 지사는 지난 1월 동두천시 상패동 국대도 3호선 공사현장에서 ‘북부 5대 도로사업 비전 선포식’를 열고 북부지역 5대 도로에 대한 조기 개통 및 집중지원을 약속한 바 있다.
